Get out those walking boots and join us for the 2019 Walk for Farm Animal Justice!

This event is our annual sponsored walk through the streets of Brisbane, where we raise money for animals, stand up for animals, and grab the opportunity to talk to the community about farmed animal issues.

This is a great day out for all ages. Your registration includes a walk t-shirt (except concessions), hot dog, walk participation and music in the park. Note that you must register by August 13th to receive a t-shirt.

This year, we walk in memory of Mia who was conscious when she was slaughtered by a Southern Queensland abattoir. After being electrically stunned Mia was left for 30 seconds, far too long for the stun to still be effective. Her throat was then cut as she looked around the room and tried to raise her head.

When you register, we will automatically generate your own private fundraising website. This will provide you with an opportunity to secure sponsors for your walk. There are prizes for the best fundraiser and the best fundraising team!

Prior to the walk we will be selling Dave's famous BLT's and afterwards we would love for you to chill in the park until it gets too, well, chilly!

Farm Animal Rescue is committed to providing a better world for farmed animals across Australia, by rescuing and advocating. At the Walk we will both be raising funds and demanding that the Queensland Government prosecute those responsible for Mia's suffering.

You can register online.
