Thieves break into animal hospital, steal badger cub

HEARTLESS thieves have broken into an animal hospital in Leicestershire and stolen a badger cub.

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital said in a Facebook post they were "extremely saddened" after the incident on Monday night.

The badger cub had spent several months at the hospital being rehabilitated and they were preparing to release her back into the wild.

They said they believe wire cutters were used to access the badger pen.

The wildlife hospital added that they were reviewing CCTV footage.
